January

January: cold, wet, icy, snowy, cold, cold and cold..

Which is why we are going to Puerto Rico! We will basking in the sun in no time. Scott and I were not made for the cold weather so in 2 weeks... goodbye school, goodbye work and goodbye winter! I can't wait. Thanks Scott for planning out entire trip and booking hotels and excursions.

Scott has taken on a new challenge this month as part of his new year's resolution. He has 4 weeks to lose 20 pounds! He's not fat by any means but let's face it, marriage weight is inevitable. He's already lost 7 pounds in one week!! Go Scotty!

Speaking of New Years Resolutions, we set some goals to work on this year.
1. Read our scriptures every night together
2. After we are sealed on May 20th, 2011 we want to go to the temple once a month
3. Use our Rec Center pass to get in shape and lookin good
5. Go on awesome vacations as much as we possibly can.
6. Scott is going to work real hard on his music and look for opportunities
spread the beautiful sounds.
7. I am going to work real hard on my crafting skills and do lots of booths this summer.
8. Keep enjoying life!

Christmas Morning

Today was an amazing day. With it being our first christmas as a married couple, we set traditions that will follow us for the rest of our lives. Last night for Christmas eve we went to my parents house for a little christmas party and then went home and prepared each others stockings and presents. We woke up this morning at about 6:45 to open our presents!! I got a Cricut Expression machine that I've been wanting for so long! Then I gave scott his gun which he loved! It was really funny when he opened it because he starting laughing and in my head I was like "Why is he laughing, it's not even funny." and then I opened my next gift which was a GUN! We both had a good laugh! We had no idea that we got each other the same thing. Scott also got me a few different cartridges for the cricut, a trip to the Caribbean :) 2 pairs of pajamas, one being a onesie which is like the best thing in the world and a few other things. I got him the gun, studio monitors for all the recording he been doing lately, a basketball, clothes and some randoms. After we opened our presents we went up to Bountiful to Scott's parents house. We opened more presents there and had a delicious breakfast! Thanks mom and dad and mom and dad Haslam for everything! You guys are so good to us!

Merry Christmas Time

I was super excited to set up our christmas tree and decorations with it being our first christmas as a married couple. Scott spent like over an hour just putting the lights on our tree! He did a great job, the lights looks really good!

Here is our tree and some of my santa's that i've been collected ever since I was little girl.

I made these ornaments for our christmas tree out of old dictionary pages.
I think they turned out cute!

The blocks were not finished when I took this picture but they are supposed to say JOY.

Fishing for Crawdads

Scott and I went up to Strawberry with Drew and Marin to fish for Crawdads. We caught a ton! Apparently they love beef jerky.

The Crawdad fortress
We forgot to bring a bucket to put the Crawdad's in so we started using an empty gas can but then realized it was a gas chamber and the little creatures were dropping like flies so Drew and Marin built the Crawdad fortress.
