Happy Birthday

This guy

had a birthday which inevitably turned him into an old man, 26 years old!!!!

The day was as good as a Sunday birthday can be. We spent the day with Scott's family playing ping pong, eating yummy food and celebrating father's day along with the twinner's birthday.

I made them this birthday cake with 26 candles...

which Scott so stealthily blocked David as he tried to blow them out.

We celebrated later that evening with friends, fireworks, and ice cream!
It was a fun day!

One Year Anniversary

On Friday, May 20th Scott and I celebrated our
ONE YEAR anniversary!


I can't believe it's already been a year!!! I've heard the first year of marriage is the hardest year and all I can say is if the past year is as hard as it's gonna get, we're gonna be okay because it's been like a dream for us so far! I feel pretty lucky to have a husband that always has a good positive attitude and loves to have fun but will also help me cook dinner and clean the house.
We have made so many great memories over the past year.

Our anniversary was a really special day because we were able to go to the Salt Lake temple and get sealed for time all eternity!!

The temple is such an amazing place. I felt a little overwhelmed and a little like I just woke up from a dream but it felt right and I knew I was doing the right thing. There is such a peaceful feeling in the temple. I was so overwhelmed with how many blessings I was able to receive there. I couldn't have imagined a more perfect anniversary. After the temple, we went out to eat with both of our families and our neighbors M&L. Thanks to all of you that took time out of your busy lives to be with us on our special day! Love you all!

Mother's Day

I'm so glad we get to dedicate a whole day to how great our mother's are. I have the best mom in whole world! She is the most generous, kind, loving, caring person. I don't know how I got so lucky to have her. I'm so grateful for all the memories I have with her. I had the opportunity to spend a month with my mom and dad to Europe a few years ago and on that trip we created so many memories that I will never forget. I love my mom and everything she stands for.

On a different note, it's weird to think that someday I'll be mother.. probably sooner than later! My sweet husband got me some flowers and a card for mothers day since I am the future mother of his children. I'm pretty sure I have the best husband in the world!

Happy Easter

Easter is such a wonderful time to think about the resurrection of Christ and celebrate it with things like family, food, Easter baskets and candy!!

Riverwoods

We went to Riverwoods last night so Scott could play his show to raise money for some local charity organizations. We went early to walk around the shops since it was such a warm day.
It was so nice!
They played the show under this gazebo...
As it got colder, we made our way to the fire pit to stay warm.
We spend a good amount of time just sitting here people watching.
That always keeps me entertained.
